WILLIAM GUILLON SWEET THING IV BRONZE FLOOR LAMP H58.5" x Ø16"

WILLIAM GUILLON

Sweet Thing refers to both a David Bowie song and one of John Carpenter’s biggest success. This series marks a turning point in the way the objects are made, but also in the nature of the production itself. Each piece is sculpted by hand by the artist before it is cast in bronze in a french foundry. It is then polished at the studio. This texture developed by William is the outcome of a special process which evokes for him the sci-fi movies of his childhood. The pieces are all numbered and signed, and the creative procedure is restarted from the beginning for each object, making them unique pieces.
